FIFA, the best-selling franchise in the UK since 1995

The analyst firm GfK has published figures on the best-selling video game franchises in the UK since 1995, reaching a total of 12.7 billion pounds in physical game sales.

Looking at the data for each saga, we see FIFA, Call of Duty, and Mario, in that order, occupying the top three positions, making them the most successful franchises in the history of the British country.

Although it has been on the market for less time and has fewer publications than others on the list, FIFA makes the soccer passion that exists in the country that invented football count, being season after season one of the main markets for Electronic Arts.

In the fourth position, we find another popular saga, Grand Theft Auto, driven by Grand Theft Auto V, which, with more than 160 million units sold worldwide, accounts for 40% of the saga's physical sales in the United Kingdom. They are followed by LEGO and Star Wars, which have generated £2.8 billion combined.

This is the top 10 best-selling video game sagas in the UK since 1995.
